Alexander Kouroupos
is a writer and director based in New Jersey. His work explores trauma, lost innocence, and the hunger for redemption—often through character-driven psychological horror. Raised by a Black mother and Greek father, Alexander draws from a lifetime of navigating identity and emotional isolation. After a car accident left him temporarily in a wheelchair, he began confronting the darker corners of his past, deepening his voice as a storyteller. His stories are grounded in emotional realism but always twisted through a genre lens—psychological horror, moral ambiguity, and the fear of becoming what we fear most. He was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival for his dystopian thriller pilot and a Gold Remi Award recipient from WorldFest Houston for directing his horror short. When he’s not writing, you’ll find him in the kitchen making killer tacos.
